Based on a German design patented by Altenpohl & Pilgram in 1934, Regeliter brand lighters were manufactured in the United States after World War 2 by Atlantic Jewelry Co. At least two models were offered with myriad ornate finish options, as well as smoking sets. "Regel" lighters feature an oval body shape, "Empress" models' body shape is rectangular. (EB)
