Beney Lighters

Model 88, 88A and Shannon

return to Beney index

Likely produced after World War 2, Beney manufactured several mechanical variations of the Model 88 pocket lighter. Similar to the Kellermann single bar lift arm patented in 1929, the original Model 88 is a very basic lift arm with manual sparking wheel. Enhanced versions were produced as Model 88A or "Shannon" with single and double thumbwheels. (EB)
