After Strikalite, Ltd. was forced to close, Harvey Avedon started a jewelry manufacturing business. He designed the Avedon Lighter in 1942 for his soon-to-be-wife Drusilla. Pocket and table versions of the Avedon Lighter were produced with sterling silver and 14k gold casings. (EB)
