Original Pollack Lighters were produced in two sizes with myriad standard and luxury finish options. Unlike the Petite and Pickwick models, these lighters utilize a more conventional manual double-bar lift arm mechanism based on Pollak's 1928 U.S. design patent for the Beau Geste—a feminine luxury variation that incorporates a mirror and compact into the lighter body. A similar masculine luxury variation of the Pollak Lighter was offered with built-in watch. Original lift arms are the most commonly seen Pollak models. The luxury Watch and Beau Geste variations are significantly more rare. (EB)
