The mechanical design for Floating and Brilflam lighters was patented iby Gaston Gaubert in 1934/1935. Pocket and table versions of Floating lighters were produced. According to Le Briquet Automatique, the brandname Brilflam was trademarked in 1935 Goltche Auguste. The relationship between Gaubert and Auguste is unknown. (EB)
